My wife and I wanted to get one of the hottubs I would really like, so, since we live in Northern Virginia, I went to various portable spa dealers. We were immediately daunted by the pushy salespeople. All they wanted was to sell us anything at any price. It was like buying a car. They offered to let us sit in the tub to try to entice us to buy it, and then they quoted an outrageous price. This happened at all the dealers we went to. Buying a car is stressful enough, but to have the same pressure from a hottubs dealer was ridiculous. We just walked right out; believe it or not, every single salesperson followed us out the door to see if he or she could change our minds and sell us one. They all offered to throw in extras like sanitizers and other crap, but we didn’t fall for it. The prices were simply too high.
After being fed up with this process, we decided to look online. We’d heard that it was possible to get one the Web at great prices, but we were still hesitant. Nevertheless we popped “hot tub spas” into Google and immediately tons of Websites offering them came up. Looking around at the various sites, we found that some prices were as high as at the showrooms, so we immediately discounted those sites.
Then we discovered some sites for a portable spa that supposedly offered ‘factory to you’ pricing. This supposedly meant that they worked directly with manufacturers and didn’t have the extra markups other sites and dealers had. One such site was Choose Hot Tubs Direct, so we checked it out.
We found a great selection of them from this site and were pleased as punch with the prices they offered. What I mean is that they had them priced so low, we almost couldn’t believe it – it seemed too good to be true. Still, we kept searching the site. How could we choose from all the offerings?
What we decided to do then was phone up the company and see if a representative could help us. Indeed, Sameer, the nice guy we talked to, helped us out with no pressure. After we told him the size of the area we had, he suggested the Oasis XL model. He even selected color schemes that would look nice, options that would help us make the ultimate in comfort and pleasure and, once we picked everything out, Sameer told us when to expect it to arrive.

In the two months since we’ve had it, we have virtually been in it every day. The seating is comfortable, and we have lots of rooms for the many guests we invite over. The controls are easy to use, and when I was confused about how to fix it up to automatically filter and heat the thing, I called the company and the customer service person walked me through the process. Although we have had many for 30 years, we find the Oasis XL to be the best we’ve ever owned.
